Let's connect
My expertise is in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, substance use, and healing from experiences of trauma.

My clinical work is informed by the awareness that people often come to therapy after something has become too challenging to address on their own. Recognizing this need for a change is significant and may be scary, but it marks the initial step toward healing and thriving. My goal is to accompany you on this path toward thriving. Our work will be more than symptom alleviation; it will go beyond "quick fixes" to help you experience a transformational sense of healing, wholeness, and satisfaction in your life and relationships.
About Dr. Palmer-Rice
Dr. Palmer-Rice offers a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, reflective, warm, authentic, and collaborative. Together you will find proactive strategies to support you in healing and growth. Hers is not a one-size-fits-all approach. While her work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, her treatment approach blends elements from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Radical Openness Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her practice is also informed by Health At Every Size and Creating Sanctuary philosophies. She utilizes these diverse therapeutic methods to empower clients and support them in shifting from their habitual patterns to new ways of thriving.
Dr. Palmer-Rice has over a decade of experience in clinical practice with individuals seeking change. She is passionate about working with adults, adolescents, children, and families who struggle with eating disorders, trauma and anxiety. She earned her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Carlow University. During her doctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente, she focused on eating disorders, addiction medicine, assessment, anxiety, and trauma therapies. Subsequently, she completed a postdoctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente, working with the Eating Disorder Outpatient Program and Adult Psychiatry Teams. Following her residency, Dr. Palmer-Rice led the Eating Disorder Outpatient Program at Kaiser.
